Dr. Bourgeois is a 1971 graduate of The Ohio State University and earned a Bachelor of Education degree. After teaching mathematics for two years, he entered dental school and obtained his dental degree from OSU in 1977. Dr. Bourgeois was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the Honorary Dental Society for scholastic achievement.

Dr. Bourgeois and his wife Sherryl have three children, Trevor, Brian and Natalie.
